Tom’s telecom experience stretches back almost 20 years, beginning when he was discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1989. As an electronics technician, Tom began as a cell site technician with McCaw Cellular in Seattle, driving from site to site performing maintenance and troubleshooting problems.
He moved from the position of cell site tech to switch tech to Adjunct Engineer over the years, and moved from McCaw to U.S West NewVector, then later to AirTouch and Vodafone. While developing an in-house network management database, he was introduced to an early version of Xpercom. Impressed by the product and the people behind it, he eventually took a position as a Sr. Consultant with Granite Systems.
Tom eventually became Director of Implementations at Granite, where he was involved in the implementation of the Xng system at Telecom Italia. Following a re-org at Granite, he became a Program Manager for selected strategic customers. In 2003, Tom left Granite Systems and started Sincera Consulting.
Since starting Sincera, Tom has enjoyed the opportunity to leverage his experience in the delivery of professional services and to provide quality and value to the telecom market.
