Report Development
From a business decision standpoint, the main purpose of a database is to answer questions. How many DCS shelves do we have? How efficiently are we utilizing our leased facilities? How many customers are using a particular service?
If you need to get the answers to your questions, you need reports. While every system ships with a few canned reports, there’s always a need for custom reporting solutions that match your requirements. A properly designed report can present the data to you in a way that makes sense, and that allows you to see trends in your network. A report that’s a poor fit for your business processes is an exercise in frustration and can lead to costly decisions based on incorrect information.
Most companies have a reporting system in place when they install their Granite® platform. That’s good, but the real issue is how well the reports support their business. A report is only as good as the knowledge of its designer, and that knowledge is what Sincera brings to the table.
We understand the relationships inherent in the Granite® database, because we helped to design it. We not only know what each table does and how it relates to others, we know when each row gets populated, and under what conditions. There are many complex and subtle interactions between the tables, and without that knowledge, your report may not be giving you an accurate picture of your network.
